The Maryland Child Care Scholarship (CCS) helps working families and families in school pay for child care. Enrollment has been closed, but it reopens July 1, 2026. If your family needs help with child care costs, now is the time to get ready — apply as soon as it opens, and Learn-N-Play can help you do it.

How to Apply — 2 Steps

Step 1: Create your account and complete the Fast Track application. The Fast Track is a short online application. If you qualify, you'll get an answer in about 3 business days and a temporary 60-day scholarship you can start using right away.

Step 2: Complete the Full application right away. After the Fast Track, finish the Full application as soon as you can. This is what qualifies you for the full 52-week scholarship. Don't wait — you only have a short window to turn it in.

Documents You'll Need

Have these ready before you start. You will upload them online.

Proof of identity

  • A photo ID for the head of household (such as a driver's license)

  • A birth certificate for each child who needs care

Proof of income or school — choose one

  • Your 2 most recent pay stubs if you are paid every two weeks

  • Your 4 most recent pay stubs if you are paid every week

  • A letter from your school, if you are a student

  • Your TCA (Temporary Cash Assistance) letter, if you receive TCA

Proof of Maryland residency — choose one

  • A BGE bill from the last 30 days

  • A lease agreement, signed and dated within the last 60 days

  • A letter from the person you live with, signed and dated, if you live with someone else

¡Buenas noticias! El Programa de Beca de Cuidado Infantil de Maryland reabre el 1 de julio de 2026

La Beca de Cuidado Infantil de Maryland (CCS, por sus siglas en inglés) ayuda a las familias que trabajan o estudian a pagar el cuidado de sus hijos. Las inscripciones estuvieron cerradas, pero reabren el 1 de julio de 2026. Cómo solicitar — 2 pasos

Paso 1: Cree su cuenta y complete la solicitud de Vía Rápida (Fast Track). La Vía Rápida es una solicitud corta en línea. Si califica, recibirá una respuesta en aproximadamente 3 días hábiles y una beca temporal de 60 días que puede empezar a usar de inmediato.

Paso 2: Complete la Solicitud Completa de inmediato. Después de la Vía Rápida, termine la Solicitud Completa lo antes posible. Esto es lo que la califica para la beca completa de 52 semanas. No espere — solo tiene un tiempo limitado para entregarla.
